It is shameful to hear that the confession of Chief of the Army Staff General V.K. Singh's that he was offered the bribe for clearing a file with regard to the purchase of tranche of 600 vehicles. The interesting thing to be noticed is that he had informed this issue to the Defence Minister A.K. Antony and the involvement of a retired officer who now works as a mediator. Finally the country's Defence department is now under the scanner and led to the CBI inquiry.
It is further heard that there is no written complaint was made about this by the Army Chief.
If the CBI inquiry proves any illegal involvement from any part in this deal, it would adversely be affected the reputation of our Defence service.
